About Me

- Name: Marti
- Location: South Carolina, United States
I use the blog format to share digital photographs and scrapbook layouts with my family. My husband, Bob, and I have three sons (two are identical twins), three daughters-in-law, and twin granddaughters. We moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to South Carolina in December 2005 and it was the best thing we ever did.

Halloween 2005

Justine and Lauren are mesmerized by yet another toy. In this one, the chair vibrates and in front of them is a clear screen of sorts. Inside the screen is a star fish and a couple of other brightly colored fish. A substance like water shoots bubbles through the water and the starfish spins while the other fish move around. Music plays along with this one too and the babies are quite taken with it all. Halloween 2005

I came upstairs on Halloween morning and Connie already had the babies all dressed for the occasion. They looked so cute. Because the girls are in different sizes, it's a little difficult for them to always wear identical outfits. Justine is 13.5 lbs and Lauren is 9.11 lbs in this picture. These outfits were borrowed from Lynette's little girl who is now 18 months old.Sunday, October 30, 2005

These premature babies have made great progress in terms of growth and development. Here they enjoy their Baby Einstein toy, a clever musical concoction. When the babies get excited about the star with rotating lights above them, they kick the arches. The act of the kick causes the music and lights to continue to play, so the babies have non-stop fun. As you can see, Justine (left) and Lauren (right) are smiling and talking to the star. They both love this activity. Well, in one shot Justine is actually not so happy as she grabs on to Lauren's sleeve.

I arrived at Connie and Troy's in Chicago to help with Justine (pictured at left with me) and Lauren at 5 1/2 months old. If the babies had been born on July 31st, their due date, they would only be 3 months old right now. Troy had to spend the week in Atlanta on business, so I took the opportunity to volunteer to help out in his absence - and I was so glad I did! The darling embroidered bib Justine is wearing in this picture is a baby gift from Steve and Annie, our nephew and his wife.Welcome to

This is a blog album to record the life and times of our twin granddaughters, Justine Marie and Lauren Ann ,who were born 11 weeks early on May 16, 2005 at 2.9 oz and 1.13 oz respectively. Parents, Connie and Troy, have done an excellent job of caring for the babies who now weigh 13.5 lbs and 9. 11 lbs respectively.
The blog album has been split into two sections, October and November. You are viewing October, which is the first section. View moving upward. When you reach the top of the screen, go to "Archives" on the upper left and click on November to continue. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and move upward to the end.
